The UKP-400F03K is a 3-pole, 400A rated AC switch-disconnector engineered for base/screw panel mounting inside distribution boards, motor control centers, and power distribution enclosures. Built to deliver a visible, reliable air-gap isolation point, it is designed as the main incoming or outgoing isolator for three-phase power circuits where short-circuit or overcurrent protection is handled by upstream devices such as fuses or circuit breakers.

The operating handle is mounted directly on the front face of the switch body and is intended for indoor cabinet operation, giving technicians a compact, straightforward on/off actuation point close to the switch itself. A transparent viewing window on the contact chamber allows maintenance personnel to visually confirm the actual position of the internal contacts — not just the handle position — which is essential for lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety procedures.

The spring-stored energy mechanism ensures quick-make, quick-break switching action regardless of how fast or slow the operator moves the handle, protecting against arcing damage from slow manual operation. Rated for on-load switching, the UKP-400F03K can be operated while the circuit is carrying current, which is a major advantage over simple disconnect links that require the load to be de-energized first.
