Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 Falls on 25 September

The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important traditional celebrations in China. It takes place on the 15th day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar, when the moon is at its fullest and brightest, and it is a time when families gather to share a meal and mooncakes. In 2026 the festival lands on Friday 25 September, and the public holiday runs from 25 to 27 September.

For manufacturing companies in Zhejiang, the weeks before the festival are a busy period of both production and preparation. Orders are pushed forward so that customers receive shipments before the holiday, while the administration and human resources teams organise the annual gift distribution. Distribution Day at KRIPAL Headquarters

Employees collected their gift sets throughout the day at the KRIPAL headquarters building, where the reception area was filled with the stacked orange boxes from early morning. Teams from different departments came through in turn, and the photograph sessions at the company logo wall gave the day an informal, celebratory atmosphere that is quite different from the usual rhythm of a production site.

Staff arrived in their company uniforms to pick up their gift sets, many of them planning to take the boxes straight home at the end of the working day.
