KRIPAL Electric testing center successfully passes CNAS periodic reassessment and GB 14048.3 standard transition from 2017 to 2025 edition. The accreditation covers 8 national standards and 31 testing items across three domains, with international recognition through ILAC-MRA.

On July 25 to 26, a CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) expert panel conducted a two-day on-site reassessment at KRIPAL Electric for the testing center’s periodic review and GB 14048.3 standard change audit. The standard was successfully updated from the 2017 edition to the 2025 edition, and the testing center passed all evaluations.
About CNAS and GB 14048.3
CNAS is the national accreditation body of China, recognized internationally under the ILAC-MRA framework. A CNAS-accredited laboratory means its testing reports carry the same weight as those issued by accredited labs in over 100 member economies worldwide. For electrical manufacturers serving export markets, CNAS accreditation directly supports compliance with IEC, EN and other international standards without requiring duplicate testing.
GB 14048.3 is the Chinese national standard for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies, specifically covering switches, disconnectors, switch-disconnectors and fuse-combination units. The 2025 edition introduces updated test procedures and performance criteria aligned with the latest IEC 60947-3 requirements. KRIPAL Electric’s testing center is among the first manufacturer-operated laboratories in Zhejiang to complete this standard transition audit.
Scope of KRIPAL Testing Center CNAS Accreditation
The KRIPAL testing center’s CNAS accreditation covers three major domains: general environment for electrical products, general safety, and low-voltage electrical apparatus. This includes 8 national standards and 31 testing items. The assessment was conducted according to CNAS-CL01:2018 (ISO/IEC 17025:2017) accreditation criteria.
Seven-Dimensional Comprehensive Audit
The expert panel conducted a thorough evaluation across seven dimensions using on-site inspections, document reviews, record sampling, personnel interviews, and hands-on operational testing:
- Quality management system documentation and implementation effectiveness
- Personnel qualifications, training and authorization records
- Instrument calibration, maintenance status and laboratory environment control
- Testing method verification and compliance
- Measurement traceability and uncertainty assessment
- Internal quality control and non-conformance closure management
- Report review procedures and authorized signatory management
Audit Outcome
Following the comprehensive evaluation, the expert panel confirmed that the testing center’s quality management system is well-established and operating effectively over the long term. Personnel competency meets required standards, equipment configuration is complete and operating stably, and the full-process testing workflow is standardized and controlled with accurate, reliable results. All criteria fully comply with CNAS accreditation requirements.
The expert panel also provided optimization recommendations for continuous improvement. The testing center will complete all corrective actions within the required timeframe.
International Recognition Through ILAC-MRA
CNAS accreditation serves as authoritative certification of a laboratory’s comprehensive technical capability. Test reports issued by CNAS-accredited laboratories are recognized internationally through the ILAC-MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation Mutual Recognition Arrangement), ensuring global acceptance of KRIPAL testing results.
