Following the devastating earthquake on 6 February 2023 affecting southern Türkiye and northern Syria, the Republic of Türkiye initiated a large-scale emergency reconstruction and temporary housing program under the coordination of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), operating under the Ministry of Interior.
The official tender authority was:
T.C. İçişleri Bakanlığı Afet ve Acil Durum Yönetimi Başkanlığı Merkez İhale Komisyonu
The project involved the rapid construction of container-based emergency accommodation zones across seven provinces in southern Türkiye. Approximately 100,000 modular container housing units were deployed to accommodate over 500,000 displaced residents. Each unit was equipped with integrated electrical systems, water supply, sanitation facilities, and photovoltaic systems.
The second phase of the project included upgrades for photovoltaic and energy storage integration, requiring certified low-voltage electrical components capable of rapid deployment.

The project covered multiple container cities across southern Türkiye. As of June 2024, the following sites remained operational:
Procurement for projects exceeding 500,000 Euros was centrally managed by AFAD headquarters.
All low-voltage components supplied to the container housing power distribution systems were required to comply with strict European and Turkish standards and to be delivered within 48 hours to AFAD warehouse locations within Türkiye.

Through our authorized Turkish agent, the following low-voltage products were supplied for the project:
These products were used in emergency power distribution panels, photovoltaic integration systems, and mobile housing electrical infrastructure.
The tender imposed strict compliance and delivery conditions. All suppliers were required to meet the following hard requirements:
| Requirement | Status |
| CE and CB Certification (IEC 60947-2, 60947-3, 60947-4-1) | Compliant |
| TSE Certification (Turkish Standards Institution) | Certified for MCB, RCCB, isolator, contactor, industrial plugs and sockets |
| CE Certification for industrial plugs and sockets | Available |
| RoHS and REACH Compliance | Certified |
| Turkish-language technical manuals | Available for download |
| Local warehouse capacity in Türkiye | 1,000 m² warehouse in Istanbul via ETI Electric |
Due to the emergency nature of the reconstruction program, procurement required rapid response and strict logistics coordination. All electrical components were delivered to AFAD-designated warehouse facilities within Türkiye in accordance with the 48-hour delivery requirement.
Coordination with the Istanbul-based warehouse ensured stock readiness and rapid dispatch. Compliance documentation was provided in full alignment with CE, EN, and TSE requirements.
The project successfully passed technical evaluation and was awarded through the centralized AFAD tender process.
This project represents participation in one of Türkiye’s largest post-disaster reconstruction initiatives in recent history.
The project required:
Successful completion of the tender demonstrates strong capability in supporting:
All supplied products met technical and regulatory requirements and were integrated into container housing power distribution systems across multiple provinces.
The project strengthened long-term cooperation within the Turkish market and demonstrated the ability to support national emergency infrastructure programs under strict compliance and time constraints.
