AC Isolator Switches are mandatory safety devices in modern electrical and industrial installations. Manufactured to strict IEC 60947-3 standards, KRIPAL’s UKP, UKPN, and UKPW series provide a highly visible, manual load-breaking disconnection point. By creating a physical break in the circuit, these switches ensure that downstream electrical equipment is completely de-energized. This allows maintenance teams and technicians to work safely on heavy machinery without the risk of accidental power restoration or electrical faults.

View DetailsRather than offering a one-size-fits-all product, we engineer specific isolation solutions based on the installation environment and phase requirements.
Designed primarily for exterior applications, the UKPW series (ranging from 20A to 150A) is housed in a robust, flame-retardant Polycarbonate (PC) enclosure. We selected PC material specifically for its high impact resistance and thermal stability. Rated at IP66, this enclosure provides a total barrier against dust ingress, heavy rain, and high-pressure water jets. Furthermore, the UV-stabilized material prevents the casing from cracking or degrading under continuous exposure to direct sunlight.
For indoor industrial applications, the UKPN series offers versatile 3-Pole and 4-Pole configurations. These are designed with a compact footprint for seamless integration into motor control centers (MCC), main distribution boards, and complex industrial automation panels where space is at a premium but reliable phase isolation is required.
Safety and environmental responsibility are engineered into every component of our switches, far beyond just the outer casing.
Multi-Padlockable Rotary Handles (LOTO): To strictly comply with OSHA Lockout/Tagout procedures, our rotary handles are designed to accept multiple padlocks simultaneously when in the “OFF” position. This physically locks the mechanism, ensuring that no one can accidentally turn the power back on while a technician is servicing the connected equipment.
VDE0106 Touch-Proof Terminals: Protecting the installer is just as important as protecting the end-user. The terminal covers are specifically designed to meet VDE0106 finger-safe standards, preventing any accidental human contact with live wires during installation or routine inspection.
Cadmium-Free & RoHS Compliant: We utilize advanced cadmium-free alloys for the contact points to minimize electrical arcing wear over thousands of cycles. Additionally, the entire switch assembly is manufactured completely free from PCBs, Freon, asbestos, and silicone resins, ensuring global environmental compliance.

AC Isolator Switches are critical in virtually all industrial and commercial settings:
These specifications define the switch's capacity and configuration:
Current Rating (e.g., 32A, 63A): The maximum current the switch can safely carry and break. You must select a rating equal to or higher than the circuit it is protecting.
Number of Poles (e.g., 2-Pole, 3-Pole, 4-Pole): This indicates how many separate current-carrying conductors it controls.
