UKM30L Series Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker

The UKM30L series leakage circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as the circuit breaker) is a new product successfully developed by our company using advanced international technology from the 1990s.

This product features comprehensive protection functions, reliable performance, high technical specifications, an attractive appearance, and a compact size. The UKM30L shares the same appearance and installation dimensions as our UKM30 series moulded case circuit breakers, making it a key product for upgrading older models.

It complies with IEC60947-2, GB/T 14048.2 “Low-voltage switchgear and control equipment – Low-voltage circuit breakers” and its Appendix B “Circuit breakers with residual current protection”; as well as IEC755, GB6829 “General requirements for residual current operated protective devices”.

Applications

  • Low-Voltage Distribution Systems: Ideal for use in industrial, commercial, and residential electrical systems with AC 50Hz, rated voltage up to 400V, and rated current up to 400A. It serves to distribute electrical power and protect circuits and equipment from damage due to overload, short-circuit, and leakage faults.
  • Motor Control & Protection: Suitable for the infrequent starting and stopping of motors, providing comprehensive fault protection for motor circuits.
  • Personal Electric Shock Protection: Its residual current protection function offers critical indirect contact protection (e.g., from touching a energized equipment casing due to insulation failure) against fatal electric shocks, ensuring personnel safety.
  • Electrical Fire Prevention: Effectively helps prevent electrical fires by detecting and interrupting persistent ground fault currents that may go undetected by standard overcurrent protection devices.
  • Selective Protection in Complex Networks: With adjustable rated residual operating current and tripping delay, it enables selective leakage protection within multi-level power distribution systems. This ensures only the breaker closest to a fault trips, maintaining power supply continuity elsewhere in the installation.
  • Supplementary Direct Contact Protection: When the rated residual operating current is set to 30mA, it can provide an additional level of safety by acting as a supplementary protective device against direct contact (live part contact) in cases where other primary protection measures fail, making it suitable for areas requiring higher safety standards.
