UKQ-22MB Magnetic Starter 9/12/18/22A DOL Starter 3 Phase IP44
UKQ DOL Starter is an integrated electrical control assembly combining a contactor and a thermal overload relay.
Designed primarily for three-phase asynchronous motors, it provides reliable start/stop control along with overload and phase-failure protection.
As a core component in industrial motor control systems, it ensures automated operation through electromagnetic actuation while delivering robust safety and protective functions.

- Integrated Design: Combines a contactor, thermal overload relay, and metal/plastic enclosure in one unit, reducing wiring complexity and enhancing reliability with built-in overload protection.
- Start Function: When the control circuit is energised (e.g., start button pressed), the contactor coil activates, closing the main contacts to power the motor. A normally open auxiliary contact simultaneously closes to maintain the circuit (“self-locking”), keeping the motor running after the button is released.
- Stop Function: Pressing the stop button de-energises the control circuit, causing the contactor coil to drop out, open the main contacts, and halt the motor, with auxiliary contacts resetting accordingly.
- Overload & Phase Protection: In the event of motor overload or phase loss, the thermal relay’s bimetallic strip heats and bends due to excessive current, triggering the mechanism to cut power to the contactor coil and safely shut down the motor.
Application
- Start-stop control for machine tools, conveyors, and mixers, with overload protection to prevent motor burnout from mechanical jams.
- Control of water pumps, cooling fans, and ventilation blowers, such as automatic operation and protection for factory circulation pumps to ensure stable water system performance.
- Operation of building water supply pumps, fire pumps, and elevator door motors, supporting emergency activation with fire systems while ensuring equipment safety through reliable protection.
- Motor control for irrigation pumps and feed mixers, designed for dependable operation in outdoor or dusty environments.
