The Project & The Challenge

The Bertonico-Turano Lodigiano power plant is undergoing a landmark transformation from a traditional natural gas facility into an advanced “Energy Multifactory.” As one of Italy’s first demonstration projects to seamlessly integrate gas power with energy storage, it will deploy a 15MWh BESS.

The core challenge lies in the system’s need for millisecond-level responses to smooth out renewable energy fluctuations and ensure grid stability.
